Update as of January 27, 2025:
This series has been canceled due to WSDOT’s changes to the project timeline
Major changes are coming to I-5, now starting in 2026.
The Washington State Department of Transportation had planned to start major preservation construction in March 2025. However, WSDOT has delayed the long-term lane closures and preservation work on the I-5 Ship Canal Bridge and is now expected to begin construction in 2026.
