PARK(ing) Day 2020 may look different this year, but we can still call attention to the need for fewer parking spaces and more places for people. On Friday, September 18, Commute Seattle celebrates PARK(ing) Day by sharing some of our favorite curb spaces taken over by people.
PARK(ing) Day is a global event where parking spaces are transformed into parks and spaces for people. The mission of PARK(ing) Day is to shed light on the need for more urban open space, to ignite a conversation about how we allocate our public right of ways, and to improve the air quality in our communities. If you look out your window, this has never been more relevant.
