In a unanimous decision, the Commute Seattle Advisory Board voted to endorse Seattle Proposition 1, the “Keep Seattle Moving” transportation levy.
On the ballot this November, the levy is an 8-year renewed investment in our city’s mobility, safety, and sustainability. The $1.55 billion Keep Seattle Moving Levy will build on the success of the 2016 Move Seattle Levy, which laid out an ambitious vision and plan for a safe, sustainable, and connected transportation system.
Included in the Keep Seattle Moving Levy are investments for:
- Making it safer and easier to get to transit and key destinations
- Keeping our critical infrastructure like roads and bridges safe and in good repair through maintenance and modernization
- Improving transit reliability and corridors, making connections easier, and prioritizing rider safety
“I’m excited to announce that Commute Seattle is endorsing the ‘Keep Seattle Moving’ transportation levy. This levy is critical to expanding safe, reliable transit options that will give people real choices in how they navigate our city. By voting Yes, we can build a transportation system that works for everyone and keeps Seattle moving forward.” — Alex Hudson, Executive Director, Commute Seattle
